Stylecraft Supports Marie Curie Crafting Challenge and Great Daffodil Appeal
By Emily Peagram
Usually in March Marie Curie would have people on the streets or in their local supermarket raising donations and encouraging people to wear a daffodil to show their support for the charity, their nurses and those living with a terminal illness. Due to safety concerns this can’t happen this year, so instead Marie Curie is encouraging people to set up virtual collections instead.
The charity is asking crafters to use their skills to make 10 daffodil badges and give them to friends and family in return for a donation, or send them to Marie Curie to raise donations in their shops once the doors are open.
Stylecraft has donated a special crocheted daffodil design to support this year’s Great Daffodil Appeal and the free pattern is up on the website now. “We are very proud to be supporting this year’s appeal and we hope knitters and crocheters everywhere will be able to help support such an important charity,” says Annabelle Hill, Sales and Marketing Director at Stylecraft. There is also a pattern for knitters designed by Vikki Bird on the Marie Curie website.
Completed daffodils can be sent to:
